Big props to digi.B, both for the quality of the game and for the challenges that they went through to do so. A special props to them for adding text width and text size options in Ren'py, they made playing on the Steam Deck much more comfortable than most other Ren'py games. I can't be surprised; given that digi.B had vision issues, it totally stands to reason that they would be particularly cognizant of the impact of accessibility options, but it's still such a rare occurrence that it warrants the shout out.

I loved the humor in Artemis, see the screenshots for one exchange that made me cackle loudly IRL. The LIs are interesting and vary a lot in personality without seeming to be archetypal ttrops. It's not a harem game per se, but there are specific conflicts rather than strict monogamy (except for one LI that wants to be purely exclusive).

While I liked the different options available during the lewd scenes, I found them to be somewhat... disconnected? It didn't feel like there was a cohesive flow to the scene and instead felt like a collection of clips. There's no real transition from one position to another, and that makes it feel more abrupt and less cohesive.

This story resonated a lot with me, both as someone who battles anxiety/depression and as someone who works in the IT industry specifically on AI. (Of course, what Aiden is doing is far beyond current developments in real life, but the core premise still applies.)

I cannot wait to see how things continue to develop in Book Two.
